How it works (under the hood)

• Ethereum protection: on first open, your device creates an Ethereum‑like account (public/private key pair) for your EXTRA SAFE account—the account behind your EXTRA SAFE number. Keys stay on your device. Communications don’t interact with any blockchain—not on‑chain.

• P2P by default: devices connect directly where possible; our servers initiate the connection and help keep it stable (with relay fallback when networks block P2P).

• WebRTC for media: real‑time audio/video in calls and meetings (and screen sharing in the browser) is encrypted with WebRTC.

Your private in‑app identity: the EXTRA SAFE number

• Your device creates a random 9‑digit EXTRA SAFE number—a private in‑app identity not linked to your name, phone, or email.

• Find it at the top of the main screen, or via More → Account → EXTRA SAFE number.

• Share it or send your invite link so contacts can call you instantly; if they install from your link, you’ll be auto‑added to each other’s contacts.

Key features (mobile & tablet)

• Secure voice calls: place private, dialer‑style calls by entering an EXTRA SAFE number or calling from Contacts. Media is protected with WebRTC.

• Video meetings: create a meeting link and invite anyone; participants can join from the app or a browser. Great for quick stand‑ups or client check‑ins.

• Disappearing messages: send 1:1 encrypted messages with a self‑destruct timer (1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week).

• Meeting chat (auto‑clears): every meeting includes a lightweight chat for links and notes that disappears when the session ends.
