When you first open the app, you’re assigned a unique EXTRA SAFE Number—your private identity inside the app. You don’t provide a phone number, email, or any personal details.
EXTRA SAFE is built with two core principles: privacy and security.
Privacy (Anonymity) – You never provide a phone number, email, or personal details. Instead, you get a unique EXTRA SAFE Number—your private identity for calling and messaging. Nothing in the app links your activity to your real-world identity.
Security (Encryption) – Every call and message is protected with multiple layers of encryption: WebRTC’s built-in real-time encryption for media, end-to-end encryption, and Ethereum encryption. In both the app and browser, your encryption keys are generated locally and never leave your device. In the app, your Ethereum-like account is permanent from the moment you first open it. In the browser, a new Ethereum-like account is created for each session. With peer-to-peer connections, your communication travels directly between devices for maximum protection.
