Which network should I use — Avalanche, Ethereum, Arbitrum or another?
For everyday transfers in EXTRA SAFE, use Avalanche, the default. When you send outside EXTRA SAFE, use the network your recipient uses.
How to choose

Sending to someone on EXTRA SAFE: Avalanche. It’s selected by default and settles in seconds.
- •
Keeping amounts private: Avalanche. Private balances & transfer amounts work there.
- •
Sending to a wallet or exchange outside EXTRA SAFE: the network your recipient asks for. Funds arrive only on the network you send on.
- •
Your funds are already on another network: send on that network. You don’t need to move them to Avalanche first.
What’s the same on every network
- •
Your wallet address and recovery phrase.
- •
Gas paid with stablecoins when you send a stablecoin.
What differs
The network fee. Each network sets its own, and it changes with how busy the network is. Ethereum usually costs the most; Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base usually cost less. You always see the exact fee before you confirm. What does EXTRA SAFE cost? →
