Does EXTRA SAFE use peer-to-peer connection for calls? What does that mean for privacy?
Yes. Audio and video travel directly between devices. No central server handles the stream by default, so there's nothing to intercept, store, or hand off.
Peer-to-peer means the call goes from your device to your contact's device – not through a server in the middle. EXTRA SAFE has no access to the content of your calls because the content never passes through the infrastructure we control.
In practice: no recording, server-side storage, or exposure if our systems were ever breached. When the call ends, there's nothing left, because there was never anything sitting on a server to begin with.
