What is an EXTRA SAFE number and how does it work?
Your 9-digit EXTRA SAFE number is your unique identity in the app, linked to your wallet and used to connect with contacts.
How it works
When you create your account, EXTRA SAFE generates a unique 9-digit number tied to your cryptographic key pair. This number is:
- •
Your contact address – share it so others can reach you
- •
Your payment address – contacts send crypto directly to your number, no wallet address needed
- •
Permanent – it stays the same across devices as long as you have your backup phrase
Think of it like a bank account number: public enough to share, safe enough to be your identity in the app.
Every EXTRA SAFE number is unique – generated once a key pair is created on your device. No two accounts can have the same number.
Q: What happens to my number if I uninstall the app?
Your number is tied to your backup phrase, not to the app installation. If you reinstall and restore with your backup phrase, your number is exactly the same.
