How do I create my account in EXTRA SAFE and activate the wallet?
Pick a name, get your EXTRA SAFE number, then activate your wallet in the Wallet tab. The whole setup takes a few minutes and happens on your device.
Create your account
1.
Open EXTRA SAFE on your phone or computer and tap Start.
2.
Enter a display name (optional).
3.
Get your EXTRA SAFE number — your ID for messages, calls and stablecoin transfers.
Activate your wallet
Your wallet is called EXTRA WALLET in the app.
1.
Open the Wallet tab and tap Start.
2.
Save your 12-word recovery phrase. Write it down and keep it offline.
3.
Back it up (recommended). On the same screen, save an encrypted, password-protected backup to your own Google Drive or iCloud. See How do I back up my recovery phrase?
4.
Create a PIN. It confirms your transactions and protects your recovery phrase in Settings.
5.
Turn on biometrics (optional). Use Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone, or fingerprint or face unlock on Android, instead of typing your PIN.
Your wallet is active. It comes with three accounts on one address — public, smart and private — activated together:

Smart — gas paid with stablecoins.

Private — private balances & transfer amounts on Avalanche.
What happens during setup
Your keys and your wallet are created on your device and never sent to EXTRA SAFE. You hold your own keys — nobody can freeze your funds.
