Can anyone read my messages – EXTRA SAFE team, governments, hackers?
No. Messages are end-to-end encrypted. The keys exist only on your device – there is nothing to hand over.
Your private key never leaves your device. EXTRA SAFE servers process encrypted payloads that are unreadable without it.
This means:
- •
EXTRA SAFE cannot read your messages
- •
A government with a court order gets nothing useful – the readable content doesn't exist on our infrastructure
- •
A breach of our servers exposes encrypted data that is computationally infeasible to crack without the keys
This is the difference between "privacy by policy" and "privacy by architecture." Policy can change. Architecture cannot. EXTRA SAFE's privacy is structural.
