Metadata – who you message, when, how frequently – can reveal as much about a person as message content itself. Most platforms collect it because it's useful for advertising and engagement tracking.
EXTRA SAFE collects the minimum operational data required to route messages and establish connections. This is not used for profiling, targeting, or analysis. Your communication patterns belong to you.
Privacy by architecture means the goal isn't to collect everything and protect it – it's to collect only what the system requires to function.
