What happens if I lose my recovery phrase? Can I recover my account?

Without your backup phrase, your account cannot be restored. There is no alternative recovery path.

Why recovery depends entirely on it

Your account is self-owned by design. That means EXTRA SAFE holds no copy of your keys or phrase. We cannot reset your access, unlock your wallet, or restore your funds – and neither can anyone else.

Your backup phrase controls:

  • Your wallet and all crypto in it

  • Your contacts

  • Your EXTRA SAFE number and identity

There is no support ticket, no identity verification flow, and no exception. If the phrase is gone, access is gone permanently.
Write your backup phrase on paper and store it somewhere physically secure – a safe, a lockbox, or with a trusted person. Never as a screenshot or in a cloud app.

Q: What should I do if I think my backup phrase was stolen?

Act immediately. Create a new EXTRA SAFE account, generate a new wallet, and transfer your funds to the new wallet address before the thief can. Once funds are moved, your old wallet is effectively empty, even if someone has the phrase.
