Open Chats → New chat → select a contact or enter their EXTRA SAFE number.

Open the Chats tab.
2.
Tap New chat +
3.
Select an existing contact, or enter a 9-digit EXTRA SAFE number to start a new one. Alternatively, send an invite link to someone who’s not on the app.
Entering a number you haven't added yet creates the chat and adds the contact simultaneously.
