Ephemeral messaging means messages auto-delete after a set time. Less data stored means less exposure – by design.
Most messaging apps accumulate chat history indefinitely. It sits on your device, in backups, and sometimes on servers, available to anyone who gains access to any of those places.
Ephemeral messaging inverts that assumption. Data that no longer exists cannot be compromised. A device that's seized or breached months after a conversation contains nothing from it. The risk surface shrinks over time rather than growing.
In EXTRA SAFE, ephemeral messaging isn't a mode you switch on. It's the default for every chat. You set the timer; the app does the rest.
