Are calls in EXTRA SAFE encrypted?

Yes. Call sessions and contact data are encrypted, WebRTC handles the secure transport layer for audio and video, and every call opens a fresh end-to-end encrypted P2P chat.

Here's what's protected and how

  • Session and contact encryption – call session data and your contact information are encrypted throughout. Nothing about who you're calling or when is exposed in plaintext.

  • WebRTC secure transport – audio and video travel over WebRTC, which uses DTLS and SRTP protocols for encrypted transmission. The stream goes directly between devices – no central media server in the middle to intercept or store it by default.

  • E2EE in-call chat – every call opens a built-in P2P chat, end-to-end encrypted independently of the call itself. It's a fresh session each time: when the call ends, the chat and everything shared in it disappear completely.

  • Can anyone access my messages?
