What is EXTRA SAFE?
EXTRA SAFE is a self-custodial messenger with a stablecoin-first wallet. Send and receive tokenized dollars (USD₮, USDC) and native coins directly in a chat — the same way you'd share a photo. The on-chain activity stays under the hood: gas settles in stablecoins, chains stay invisible. Your keys and your funds stay on your device, under your control. Private tokens (coming soon) will let you hide the amount you hold and send — only who you pay stays on-chain. On-ramp anyone with just one link.
What EXTRA SAFE does
EXTRA SAFE brings together encrypted messaging and a built-in self-custodial wallet in a single app. You chat like in any messenger – sending messages, voice notes, and files – and move digital assets (stablecoins and other tokens) the same way you'd share a photo. The difference is structural: your wallet is part of your identity, not a separate account.
When you first open the app, a cryptographic key pair is generated locally on your device. That's the foundation of everything: your identity for messages, calls, and transfers.
How it feels to use
EXTRA SAFE is designed to feel familiar in conversations, as well as in transfers inside the chats:

You don't switch between apps. You don't paste wallet addresses. Everything happens where the conversation already is.
What makes it different
Four principles define EXTRA SAFE:

Self-custody – your assets are yours alone. Your private keys stay on your device. EXTRA SAFE has no access to your funds.

Ownership of conversations – messages are end-to-end, zero-knowledge encrypted, and disappear by default once your contact has seen them.

One address, three account types – Public, Smart, and Private live under the same wallet address, with no separate setup for any of them. Private (coming soon) will let you hide the amount of a transfer; who you pay stays visible.

Gas settles in stablecoins – built with UGTP technology (Universal Gateway Transaction Platform), so you never need to hold the native coin to send stablecoins. The blockchain runs in the background; you just see a conversation.
Your wallet, your contacts, and your chat history are tied to your recovery phrase. You can restore everything on a new device at any time.
Why it exists
Stablecoin transfers already cost near zero and settle in seconds. But most people still can't use them – not because the technology is bad, but because the experience is. EXTRA SAFE, built with transaction infrastructure that enables you to send stablecoins and settle the gas fee in stablecoins, removes that barrier completely. You send USD₮ the same way you'd send a photo. You never need to hold native coin, manage gas, or understand the blockchain underneath. It just works.
