The message stays unsent, and you'll see a failure indicator. Tap to retry once your connection is restored.
Failed messages are caused almost entirely by connection issues – lost signal, unstable Wi-Fi, or a temporary network drop. The message is not lost; it's queued locally.

Check your connection.

Tap the failed message indicator to retry.
If the issue persists, try switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi. If the problem is on the recipient's end, the message will be delivered once they reconnect.
