Your account – identity, contacts, wallet – is backed up via your recovery phrase. Message content is ephemeral and not centrally backed up.
Your recovery phrase restores your account on any device. It brings back your EXTRA SAFE number, contacts, and wallet. It does not restore message history – that's intentional.
EXTRA SAFE doesn't offer a cloud chat backup because doing so would undermine the ephemeral model. Backing up messages to a server creates a persistent copy that contradicts the auto-delete design.
If preserving specific information from a conversation matters to you, save it externally before the timer runs out.
