Do I need to know the recipient's wallet address to send crypto?
No. Your contact's EXTRA SAFE number is the only thing you need – no address to copy, so no risk of a typo.
Each EXTRA SAFE number is linked to a wallet on the backend. When you send crypto inside a chat, the routing happens automatically – the app resolves the address so you don't have to.
This eliminates one of the most friction-heavy parts of crypto: the copy-paste workflow, where a single wrong character can mean permanent loss. In EXTRA SAFE, you send to a person, not a string of characters.
Sending to an external wallet address – for contacts outside EXTRA SAFE – is still possible from the Wallet tab. But inside the app, you never need to touch an address directly.
