A recovery phrase is the only way to restore your wallet – store it securely offline.
Your recovery phrase (also called seed phrase or backup phrase) is generated once during app setup. It can restore your entire account – wallet, contacts, and EXTRA SAFE number – on any device.
How to store it safely

Write it down – not a screenshot, not a cloud doc.

Store it somewhere physically secure – a safe, a lockbox, or with a trusted person.

Consider making two copies stored in separate locations.
- •
Use the secure text-to-QR tool by EXTRA WALLET.
Anyone who has your backup phrase has full access to your funds. Treat it like a master password that cannot be changed.
