The transfer goes through, but the recipient needs to activate their wallet to access the funds.
In-chat transfers are routed to the wallet address linked to your contact's EXTRA SAFE number. That address exists on-chain from the moment their account is created – it just needs to be activated before they can see and use the balance inside the app.
The funds sit safely on-chain in the meantime. Once they complete wallet setup, everything appears automatically.
If you're sending a meaningful amount, ask your contact to activate their wallet first. Wallet setup takes under a minute.
